Early Victorian Beech Thonet Bentwood Rocking Chair Antique
The bentwood rocker was invented by the Thonet brothers of Vienna, Austria in 1856. Their patent for the process expired in 1869, and imitations are still made today.
This chair is a particularly good example of their style of work and is newly reupholstered.
