A very comfortable and stylish mid century bamboo and rattan day bed or single bed by British firm Angraves of Leicester.
All cushions and blankets shown are included in the price. A standard single mattress will fit to make a bed.
Angraves was founded in 1912 by George Angrave and his brother, Robert Angrave, in Thurmaston, Leicester.
In the 1950's, the company was taken over by Robert's son, Robert Ronald Angrave, who developed the business throughout the 1960's and 1970's.
The Brook Street firm supplied furniture to both small independent stores and major high street names.
Angraves was the last cane and bamboo furniture manufacturer in the country, and had held that position for some years until the company sadly closed its doors for the final time in 2011.
