Designed in 1962 by Danish designer Ib Kofod-Larsen for G-Plan's 'Danish Range'. This is a rare opportunity to own a matching pair of mid century history as they were only made for 4 years and sold in small numbers at the time.

Stunning and extremely comfortable, the chair and sofa bed have been beautifully reupholstered in a dark navy blue tweed blend.

The stylish and elegant 3 seater sofa has an afromosia frame with sculptured arms and it converts to a small double bed with the aid of two hidden levers in the back.

The chair sits on an African teak frame with wonderful sculptural details and supports an upholstered seat. Newly restored and reupholstered, this is a very stylish and comfortable lounge chair being the rare higher back version.

Ib Kofod Larsen was one of the most successful Danish designers in the 1960s . Unlike many of his contemporaries who designed only for Danish makers, he worked for Swedish and American companies as well as the British firm of E Gomme (G Plan). He designed much of their Danish Design range in 1961, and these were apparently launched in January 1962.
