David Joel Small Teak Sideboard Mid Century Vintage Retro MCM

A beautiful and rare mid century small and compact sideboard in teak, the geometric grain pattern is simply stunning and very unique.

Made in England by David Joel Ltd in the early 1960s, heavily influenced by traditional Scandinavian design at the time from Denmark and Norway with the use of teak and clean lines.

David Joel was ex the husband and business partner of famous and distinguished British designer, Betty Joel. When their marriage ended, he purchased the business and factory from Betty in 1938 to manufacture as David Joel Limited. He designed many beautiful pieces of furniture, often using the best materials available. He used many woods from the British Empire, including Canada, Australia, British Honduras, West Africa and India.
