Carimate Black Carver Rush Papercord Dining Chair By Vico Magistretti For Cassina Mid Century Vintage Retro MCM

Original black paint has a wonderful worn patina, the original rush seat is in perfect condition.

Originally designed in 1959 by renowned Italian designer, Vico Magistretti, for the Carimate golf club in Lombardy outside of Milan and then produced by Cassina for the public.

They were first imported to the UK in the early 1960s by Terrance Conran and retailed in his Habitat stores.

A design classic that features in the permanent collection of many museums and galleries globally, including MoMA New York.
