Subtly curved flat teak armrests with beautifully crafted finger joints at the transitions.

Upholstery is original, but has no stains, rips, or smells and has been professionally cleaned.

In 1895 the young Niels Eilersen started out as a coachbuilder. To make his wheels, he was the first person in Denmark to use steam to bend wood. When cars eventually ran horse-drawn carriages off the road, Eilersen started making handmade bodies for cars and busses.

At the age of 14. In 1934, he began working for a furniture manufacturer in Copenhagen, where he learned modern production techniques.

In 1936, he began working for a furniture company in Odense, where he designed his first pieces of furniture. In 1937, he set up his own company, the Eilersen firm, which quickly gained a reputation for the quality and innovative design of its products.

In the 1950s, Niels Eilersen began working with renowned designers to create modern, functional furniture, such as the ‘Great Lift sofa and the ‘Chaise Long’ chair, which are still popular today.

Over the years, Eilersen has become one of Denmark's leading designer furniture companies, exporting its products all over the world. The company is still run by the Eilersen family and continues to produce high-quality furniture with a timeless design.
