Six Red Marcel Breuer Cesca Dining Chairs & Matching Table Mid Century Vintage Retro MCM

These vintage Cesca dining chairs were designed by Marcel Breuer in the 1920s as part of the Bauhaus movement, and produced in Italy in the 1970s.

The set includes two carver dining chairs with arms and four dining chairs with matching dining table.

Known for their timeless blend of natural cane, wood, and tubular cantilever steel, these chairs are a classic example of Bauhaus design, emphasising simplicity and functionality.

It is exceedingly rare to see them in this finish, with a deep red lacquered frame and brass plated base. The fabric seat bases have been newly reupholstered.

The table originally came with the chairs when the set was bought in Italy in the 1970s, it matches the chairs perfectly, with a deep red lacquered top, brass detailing and thick tubular brass legs.
