Cassina ‘Portovenere’ by Vico Magistretti Matching Two Seater Sofa, Lounge Chair & Footstool Mid Century Vintage Retro MCM

£1,995 for all three pieces

Designed by Vico Magistretti for Cassina in 1989. Complete with Cassina labels and serial numbers.

As it often happened in English country homes in the Victorian period, where the fireplace accommodated a small space in which to sit in the warmth of the fire, Magistretti designed a semi-private space to harbour the intimacy of those sitting there, “Here, the sofa is a little room within the room, ready to welcome its user”.

With flexible headrests and sides with a high back, it’s complete with its original cranberry red wool upholstery,  which is in perfect condition and has been professionally cleaned.
