Four De Sede DS-76 Black Leather 1972 Sofa/Chairs Sofa Beds Mid Century Vintage Retro MCM

A rare opportunity to acquire a set of four iconic De Sede DS-76 sofas, finished in classic black leather, which has been restored.

Originally designed and produced in Switzerland, the DS-76 is one of De Sede’s most recognisable designs. Introduced in the 1970s, its low-slung proportions, generous cushioning and beautifully relaxed leather give it a distinctive look that works equally well in contemporary and mid century interiors.

Launched in 1972, these early De Sede DS-76 examples were bought from Harrods in London around the same time and have been kept by one family ever since.

One of the defining features of the DS-76 is its ingenious construction: each sofa can be unfolded to create a generous sleeping or lounging surface, without the need for a conventional mechanical sofa bed system.

The arms/sides are removable.
