This award winning, original, Magistretti Maralunga armchair for Cassina is finished in its original purple and blue vivid striped dralon fabric, and is just as comfortable as it is famed to be.

Originally designed by Vico Magistretti for Cassina in 1973, the Maralunga has become a true design icon, the model became one of Magistretti’s most recognized seating designs for its adjustable backrest system and soft, oversized proportions.

The collaboration with Cassina began in 1959 with the Carimate chair which was met with great success, but this is nothing compared to the Maralunga which became a true icon of Italian design, winning the Compaso d'oro in 1979.

Complete with authentic stamps and labels and presented in amazing vintage condition. Proof of purchase shows it was bought in 1979.
