Mid Century German Paul Schneider Wilde & Spieth Dining/Garden Chair Vintage Retro MCM

A single armchair or carver by the Düsseldorf architect and designer Paul Schneider von Esleben, who had a lasting influence on post-war modernism in the 1950s and 1960s.

The chair was manufactured by Wilde & Spieth in Germany around 1955.

Featuring a very simplistic design of rattan wicker seat and backrests, wooden armrests and is supported on a white lacquered metal frame.

The backrest of each chair is tapered, which conveniently doubles up as a handle enabling for easy carrying.

Can be used as dining chair or as a outside garden chair.
