Mid Century Norwegian Rosewood Leather Lounge Chair By Oddvin Rykken Vintage Retro MCM
A rare tan leather & rosewood chair designed by the Norwegian designer, Oddvin Rykken from the 1960s, and was produced by the leading Norwegian design manufacturers, Rybo Rykken & Co. This ‘S’ shaped chair provides ultimate comfort and support.
Constructed on a Brazilian Jacaranda rosewood cantilevered frame, brown tan leather upholstery and sweeping legs. The rosewood versions are rare, which is due to a limited production run. Teak versions were produced after the rosewood design. The jacaranda rosewood originals are rarely for sale. These statement design classics are highly sought after, and to collectors are held in the same high esteem as Eames, and other designers, manufacturers of the same period.
