Pair Of Alfred Cox Walnut ‘His & Her’ Wardrobes 1960s Mid Century Vintage Retro MCM

A beautiful pair of matching mid century walnut wardrobes by renowned British furniture manufacturer Alfred Cox, dating from the 1960s.

Featuring beautifully figured walnut grain throughout, with clean architectural lines, subtle recessed door detailing and minimalist handleless fronts. The simple, understated design is complemented by the warm golden tones of the walnut and solid plinth bases.

Both wardrobes offer generous storage, with slightly different internal configurations.

One wardrobe features twin hanging compartments, an upper shelf, brass hanging rails and an internal mirror.

The other features a full-length hanging compartment alongside a fitted section with open shelving, two drawers and an internal mirror.

Manufactured in England, Alfred Cox furniture is particularly associated with the British mid-century modern movement, producing stylish, well-crafted furniture influenced by Scandinavian design throughout the 1950s and 1960s.
