Superb set of dining chairs designed by Sam Larsson and manufactured by Dux International, Sweden 1970. A classic for both comfort during office hours and to enhance your dining experience.

These are the original versions from the mid 1970s not the modern reissues by Dux.

These chairs have a chrome plated tubular metal frame, and black leather upholstery.

The back of the back rests is strapped with a leather belt and the back is made of black synthetic fabric.

The chairs seat very comfortable and are in fantastic shape. They have a very nice patina from age and usage, but there are no tears or cracks to the leather.

Dux Manufactory was founded in 1926 by Efraim Ljung. The company gained international recognition when in 1953 Folke Ohlsson went to the United States, and founded Dux Incorporated, as the American version of his Swedish namesake - at the time the largest manufacturer of upholstered furniture in Scandinavia.

Dux has partnered with many leading designers, including Bruno Mathsson, Edward Wormley, Alf Svensson and Sam Larsson. In 1949, the Dux company implemented an idea that Ohlsson patented. Knock-down chair or KD, a term referring to easy flat assembly. This saved Dux space in warehouses and money for transport, and was a concept that became an inspiration for hundreds of other companies - primarily the Swedish brand IKEA.
